IN CONTENTION FOR “BEST DRAMA SHORT” AND “BEST SCREENPLAY”
NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA), a non-profit entity, “champions emerging and diverse filmmakers and storytellers from around the world and provides a forum where filmmakers can be recognized for their contributions.”
Their 12th Annual “Best of NFMLA Awards" -- which acknowledges “the best talent in independent cinema from around the world" -- honors a pool of over 130 nominees (in some 16 different categories), whose projects screened at the organization’s monthly festivals from January 1st, 2023 through December 31st, 2023.
We’re extremely proud to announce that in contention for “Best Drama Short” and “Best Screenplay,” is EACH LOVELY THING – an award-winning film written and directed by Paloma Nozicka.
In this story, as a party is underway, a woman repeatedly attempts to stop her sister from making an irreversible decision. Stripped to its core, the film is about the exercise of free will, and the power of family bonds.
