WAS SENTENCED TO TWELVE YEARS IN PRISON
In early February, the United States Department of Justice announced that MJ (54), of East Northport (NY), was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison and ordered to pay some $336 million in restitution for his role in defrauding health insurance companies.
Apparently, MJ operated medical billing companies which served doctors throughout the country. Over the years, he billed for services that hadn’t been actually provided or billed at inflated rates. He would impersonate patients to appeal denied claims.
On July 13, 2022, a jury convicted MJ of “health care fraud, conspiracy to commit health care fraud, wire fraud, and aggravated identity theft.”
Wonder what he’s claiming now?
