TEXAS MAN DIDN’T LIKE SIKHS

THREATENED TO REMOVE ALL THEIR HAIR

BA (48) of Dallas, Texas, was charged in early June with “one count of interfering with federally protected activities through the threatened use of a dangerous weapon and one count of transmitting an interstate threat to injure another person.”

Apparently, BA called a Sikh related civil rights group and left voicemails expressing “extreme hatred,” and “threatening to injure or kill” those working at the organization with a razor. He is said (among other things) to have threatened the use of a razor to “shave” the “top and bottom” of their hairs off and to make them “bald.”

If convicted, the guy faces up to a decade in prison “for interfering with federally protected activities” and up to five years, “for transmitting an interstate threat.” Both charges also come with a $250,000 fine.

A criminal complaint is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

Think they’ll be splitting hairs there?
