ILLEGALLY DISPENSED SOME 700,000 DOSES OF “CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES”
In early June, HT (69) of Houston, Texas, was convicted by a federal jury of two counts of “unlawfully distributing and dispensing controlled substances,” from a now-closed pharmacy.
According to a press release issued by the United States Department of Justice, in exchange for cash, HT and his cohorts illegally distributed some 700,000 doses of controlled substances – including some 500,000 oxycodone and hydrocodone pills – using forged prescriptions provided by street dealers.
Scheduled to be sentenced on September 23, 2024, HT faces up to two decades in prison on each count.
