UP TO TWENTY YEARS ON EACH OF 15 COUNTS
Dr. MN (53) of Kennebunk, Maine, was convicted late last month, by a federal jury, of unlawfully distributing controlled substances, including oxycodone, hydromorphone, and fentanyl.”
Apparently, the doctor prescribed those substances “without a legitimate medical purpose,” knowing that some of her patients were abusers, or were illegally selling the drugs. Even though she was warned by pharmacies, who refused to fill the prescriptions, she continued her unlawful practices (and engaged in deception to mask her misconduct).
Convicted of some 15 counts, the doctor faces up to 20 years in prison on each count.
Is that doctor down for the count?
