Now in its 5th year, Lit Scares International Horror Film Festival will be held on August 3, 2024, in Yorkshire in Harrogate (UK).

Formed by a group of comedians and horror-film enthusiasts, its aim is “to promote and celebrate the world of horror by rewarding talented work regardless of budget and location.”

Among the projects screening at this year’s event is THE ORCHARD — an award-winning film written and directed by Kathryn Carmichael.
▫️
In this unique short, while human beings are “stripping the Earth bare,” a widow, who is tending to her orchard, is unaware that her rotten fruit is carrying spores that can trigger form-altering genetic mutations.

Has nature found a way to respond to the abuses posed by humanity?
