On Tuesday, August 13, Rachel Foertsch of SCREEN RANT exclusively announced the release of the poster art and trailer for CHILDREN OF THE PINES — an award-winning, horror film written and directed by Joshua Morgan (of Tampa, Florida), and produced by yours truly.

In this new, feature-length movie, we watch as Riley returns from college to find things a bit awry at home and embarks on a quest to uncover her family’s deep, dark secrets. Rachel described it as a “refreshingly eerie and disturbing journey,” with a “haunting original score by Sune Rose Wagner,” and then proceeded to describe what unfolds in the clip, as follows:

“The Children of the Pines trailer opens with Kathy, who is seeking guidance from the older woman sitting across from her. She shares that her daughter is finally coming home, and Kathy is clearly looking forward to the visit. However, when Riley arrives, she questions why her parents are housing a peculiar group of children she’s never met. The trailer grows in intensity as it launches into a series of chilling clips, showing a masked individual, a couple in red robes, and flickering lights accompanied by a scream.”

With outstanding performances by Danielle J. Bowman, Kelly Tappan, Vas Provatakis, Donna Rae Allen, Richard Cohn-Lee, and David Raizor, who make up the main cast, the film will be available, worldwide, starting October 18, via all the major streaming platforms.
