OUTSOUTH QUEER FILM FESTIVAL, (formerly The North Carolina Gay and Lesbian Film Festival), has ranked among the country’s largest LGBTQ+ film related events — annually attracting thousands of patrons.

Since 1997, the organization has supported a diverse array of shorts, documentaries and feature films, which offer a “glimpse of today’s Queer life.”
▫️
Among the projects screening from August 8-15, 2024, at the historic Carolina Theatre of Durham, in Downtown Durham, you’ll find TWOFOLD — a riveting, award-winning drama written by Toto Bruin and directed by “30 Under 30” Forbes Honoree, Ella Greenwood (of UK’s Broken Flames Productions).

In this short, our protagonists have a chance encounter as New Year’s Eve festivities are underway. And when they recognize each other from over a decade prior, fireworks ensue — with the story tackling such themes as love, deception, abuse of power, and lack of consent.
