THIS DELRAY SPOT'S ROASTED CAULIFLOWER LET US DOWN
While we were slowly getting dispirited with “Warren – American.Whiskey.Kitchen,” a restaurant located at 15084 Lyons Road, in Delray Beach (FL) — particularly after the unimpressive “disembodied dish” that came in the form of a “Lobster Mac N Cheese,” (reviewed earlier), we thought we stay and try a few more items.

Next up was something a bit “healthier,” the “ROASTED CAULIFLOWER — roasted poblano, smoked pepper coulis, avocado creme, fresno relish” ($17 pre-tax/tip).

This cruciferous vegetable is said to be quite nutritious and is generally considered an excellent source of vitamins B6, C, K, along with folate, and pantothenic acid. It’s also a good source of choline, dietary fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, manganese, phosphorus, and biotin. Among other benefits, this “superfood” is said to boost eye health, maintain hormonal balance, and prevents colitis, diabetes, hypertension, respiratory papillomatosis, and combats the adverse effects of ultraviolet radiation.

Frequently boiled, fried, pickled, raw, roasted, or steamed, if served in its natural state it’ll only run you about 25 calories for 3.5 ounces (100g.)

For the $21 (post-tax/tip; approx.), we were hoping to get something tasty and delicious, but a guest described it as “nothing special.” I also found everything about it unenticing. (It was way too dry.) Because it was a disappointment, and the dish’s cost was an abomination, the item scored a low (but generous) “C.” (I was of the view that an “F” was more in order here.)

It was at that point that I suggested we all get in the car, and floret!
