London, 15th June 2021: Elisha Applebaum, best known for playing Musa in the hit Netflix series ‘Fate: The Winx Saga’ will lead ‘Better Get Better’ alongside newcomer and upcoming RADA Graduate Aliyah Odoffin. Also starring are dancer and actor Nikkita Chadha and Tiktok star and actor Daisy Jelley.

Written and directed by Ella Greenwood, a 2021 Forbes 30 Under 30 Honoree, the short focuses on the difference between physical and mental health. It is the next film in Broken Flames Production’s slate of mental health-based projects, following ‘Self-Charm’ which stars BAFTA Winner Bukky Bakray, ‘Smudged Smile’ which stars ‘Get Even’s’ Mia Mckenna-Bruce and ‘Why Wouldn’t I Be?’ which stars ‘Doolittle’s’ Harry Collett and Elizabeth Berrington, known for In Bruges (2008), Naked (1993) and Scoop (2006). Other upcoming projects include the feature film adaptation of their original short ‘Faulty Roots’, which will be made in partnership with Social Impact Agency TerraMedia, and the short film ‘Fifty-Four Days’. Greenwood is the Founder & CEO of Broken Flames and runs the company with Assistant Producer Maya Bartley O’Dea.
‘Better Get Better’ follows Best friends Scarlett (Odoffin) and Freya (Applebaum) who are practically inseparable but when Scarlett breaks her ankle and Freya starts struggling with her mental health, the difference in how they're treated starts to change this.
"Fate: The Winx Saga” premiered globally on Jan. 22, 2021 and garnered over 57 million household views. Production for its second season will begin this year in Ireland.
‘Better Get Better’ is made in association with New York based attorney, Lucas A. Ferrara, who has produced over 100 features and shorts, including ‘Why Wouldn’t I Be?’.
