MC Kitchen, which offers diners “modern Italian cuisine,” was among the first restaurants to open in the “revitalized” Miami Design District back in 2013.
But the restaurant may now be in need of a little revitalization of its own.
While we understand that a veal chop is an expensive cut, be prepared to fork over $58 (BEFORE tax and tip) if you order their “Center Cut Veal Chop” — pan roasted cauliflower, caramelized pearl onions, whipped butternut squash.
And while the meat should be tender and supple (when properly cooked), we found ours to be a bit hard (tough to cut), and lacking sufficient juiciness or moisture.
The veggies were also disappointingly drab; bland and dry. They failed to complement or supplement the dish in a substantive or beneficial way.
And, last but not least, because we thought $58 was highway robbery, this dish scored an “F.”
