On a lark, we stopped into Del Frisco’s Grille (on Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale) and tried their “Sweet Corn Bisque” — tortilla strips, cream drizzle (560 calories; $8.50) — which came out a bit more watery than we would have liked.
We had hoped for a silky smooth mixture, but this little cup lacked “body,” and could have used some more potato, cornstarch, flour; SOMETHING, to give it a bit more substance.
Despite that perceived deficiency, because some enjoyed the refreshing, sweet taste, this dish still managed to score a “B-“ overall.
(Would I return to order this soup, again? Not at all.)
