Even though I’ve decided not to seek reelection in 2018 and move
on from my job in Congress, I’m not sitting 2018 out.
There is too much at stake.
I’m not done fighting in Washington for issues vital to working
families in Connecticut, and I’m not done supporting candidates
who vow to help advance them.
Moving forward, I will continue to be a vocal champion for access to affordable
health care, legal protections for DREAMers, gun safety laws, and justice
for all. I’m dedicated to doing my part to empower strong Democratic
candidates in any way I can.
And even though my time in Congress is coming to a close at the end of
this year, I'm so proud of our work together. With your help, we made
progress for families in Connecticut's 5th congressional district
and across America.
There is much more work to be done - both in my remaining months in Congress
and after. And know that my commitment to serving you and the country
we love is unwavering.
Many thanks and warm regards,
Elizabeth
