Dear Lucas,
Right at the end of 2017, the House passed the NRA's number one priority
-- “Concealed Carry Reciprocity” -- a reckless policy that
would gut state gun laws and allow many people with dangerous histories
and no training to carry hidden, loaded handguns across the country.
Help us stop this dangerous bill from passing the Senate!
By advancing Concealed Carry Reciprocity, Congress is ignoring the voices
of law enforcement, mayors, and the American public.
If you think this is unacceptable, add your name to our petition and join
Everytown for Gun Safety.
In the wake of multiple horrific shootings, and at a time when the American
people want Congress to strengthen our gun laws, gun lobby-backed politicians
want to weaken them. And they're doing it by advancing a bill that
would would effectively force each state to adopt the weaker standards
of other states -- undermining your state's ability to have common
sense gun standards AND your community's public safety.
The NRA won't be satisfied until anyone -- even people with dangerous
histories -- can carry a gun anywhere.
The Senate vote is the last chance we have to stop “Concealed Carry
Reciprocity” from becoming a reality.
Demand your Senators vote NO on Concealed Carry Reciprocity!
It’s critical that we have common sense standards for who can carry
concealed guns in public. The risk to our communities and children is
far too high to undermine these standards.
If you agree, sign the petition and help fight back.
Thank you for your support,
Everytown for Gun Safety
