Imagine what Republicans would do if given the chance to rewrite the Constitution.
It's unpleasant, but unfortunately, it's a real possibility.
Republicans control nearly enough state legislatures to call a constitutional
convention,
without a single Democratic vote — they need 34, and they currently have 32.
To stop this possibility from becoming a reality, we have to invest heavily
in state legislative races next year and start turning key chambers blue.

Republicans are already practicing rolling back hundreds of years of progress
with mock conventions — most recently in Virginia and Arizona.
But here's the good news:
Our women made huge gains in 2017. In Virginia, they won 13 seats in the
House of Delegates, 11 of which flipped from red to blue. And in Georgia,
our women broke up the Republican supermajority in the state Senate.
If we can build on those gains and replicate our winning strategy in state
legislative races next year, we can stop this serious threat to our democracy.
