Alla B. filed an appeal after the Kings County Family Court refused to impute additional income to Roman N., so that the latter would pay more child support.
Roman's refusal to disclose his finances, coupled with documents which showed that his annual salary really was $95,000, (rather than around $32,000), led the Appellate Division, Second Department, to conclude that the guy's prior disclosures hadn't been accurate. As a result, the case was sent back so that the Family Court could recalculate the guy's child-support obligations.
"I had rather be a dog, ... than such a Roman." (William Shakespeare)
