GET READY TO DINE IN BROOKLYN

THE TABLE IS SET! BP MARKOWITZ LAUNCHES TENTH ANNUAL "DINE IN BROOKLYN" RESTAURANT WEEK MARCH 11 - MARCH 21

“Festival for foodies” features 200 restaurants cooking up fragrant feasts for gourmands

On Tuesday, March 5, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and Deputy Borough President Sandra Chapman were joined by two dozen Brooklyn eateries at a kickoff and “tasting” at Brooklyn Borough Hall to officially announce the tenth annual “Dine in Brooklyn” event (March 11 – March 21) featuring approximately 200 of the borough’s best restaurants dishing out three-course dinner menus for just $28, three-course lunches for $20.13 and even some “two for the price of one” brunches, lunches and dinners at participating restaurants.

For a complete list, visit www.visitbrooklyn.org.

“I’m not ‘buttering you up,’ but thanks to all of our restaurants over the last decade, Brooklyn’s all ‘souped up’ and is without a doubt the hottest, zestiest and most delicious place anywhere,” said BP Markowitz. “This year is especially exciting because it’s the tenth anniversary of Dine in Brooklyn, and it’s amazing to see how far it’s come—with nearly twice as many restaurants than the first year. When it comes to food, here in Brooklyn we have it all. You could say that Brooklyn is setting the table for the world!”

Select establishments will be serving up “two-fer” brunch and lunch menus again this year—just $20.13 covers brunch and lunch for two—as well as two-for-$28 dinner menus. Offerings vary by restaurant, so patrons must call establishments in advance to verify their Dine in Brooklyn menus and reservation policies. Beverages, tax or gratuity are not included, and BP Markowitz reminds everyone to cancel any reservations they can’t keep and to be generous and properly tip their wait staff.

Dine in Brooklyn is an initiative of the Brooklyn Borough President’s Office and Best of Brooklyn, Inc. Generous sponsors include American Express, TD Bank, Time Out New York, Brooklyn Brewery, New York State Restaurant Association, and Great Kosher Restaurants Magazine.
