I'm sure you know that polls are showing that our race is a tight contest, and all will be decided over the next 94 days.
My opponent, Carly Fiorina, is traveling up and down the state launching the most negative attacks imaginable.
But I have something that's so much more powerful than any of my opponent's constant attacks: I have you, and the support of so many friends like you across California and across the country.
That's why I'm asking you to stand with me once again.

I recently completed a nine-city jobs tour where I met so many workers who have good jobs because of the Recovery Act and the HIRE Act. They are rebuilding our roads, tunnels and bridges; they are working at clean energy technology companies; they are constructing new airports. I can't tell you how it makes me feel, knowing that my vote for these job creation bills helped them so directly.
Fiorina, on the other hand, has opposed every single jobs bill since the recession began. It's hard to believe, but her answer is to go back to the policies of George W. Bush -- tax cuts for the wealthiest, tax holidays for large corporations whose profits are back to pre-recession levels, and more deregulation.
And the San Francisco Chronicle reported that Fiorina has taken nearly $25,000 from the CEO and employees of Murray Energy, one of the largest coal companies in America. The Chronicle also reported that the company's CEO, Robert Murray, has referred to global warming as "global goofiness" and that the federal Mine Safety and Health Administration fined his company for safety violations that directly contributed to the deaths of miners during a 2007 cave-in.
I need your help to fight back against Carly Fiorina and her special interest backers -- including big coal.

Hearing the stories from everyone I meet on the campaign trail makes me even more determined to fight for this Senate seat. There is such a clear choice -- on jobs, on the environment, on sensible gun control, on a woman's right to choose, on ending two wars, on immigration, on equality and justice, and so much more.
I know that we will win if the people of California understand the clear choice before them. That's what we're going to show the voters over these last 94 days -- and that is why I need your help today.
Please contribute now.
Thank you so much for standing with me every step of the way. I couldn't do it without you.
In friendship,
Barbara Boxer
U.S. Senator
