"As New Yorkers of all faiths are gathering with their families this Thanksgiving weekend, millions of Muslim New Yorkers are also gathering with their families to celebrate Eid al-Adha, one of the holiest times of the year for people of Muslim faith and a time of special focus on charitable giving. New York's religious and ethnic diversity, and our appreciation of and respect for that diversity, is a big part of why this is the greatest city in the world. On this Thanksgiving weekend, I'm grateful that we continue to be a place where all people of all faiths live together in harmony, and I extend my best wishes to everyone celebrating Eid al-Adha. Eid Mubarak."
