HIT WITH CRIMINAL CHARGE FOR DEFACING PROPERTY IN VIOLATION OF FACE ACT
S.M., a 20-year-old from Worthington, Ohio, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge for purportedly damaging a pregnancy center’s property by spraying its building with the words, “LIARS,” “Fund Abortion,” “Abort God,” and “Jane’s Revenge.”
The Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act “prohibits a person from intentionally damaging or destroying the property of a facility because that facility provides reproductive health services.”
In a written statement, “Defacing facilities that provide reproductive health services will not be tolerated in our society …. The Justice Department is committed to enforcing the FACE Act to protect all patients who seek reproductive health services and all persons and facilities that provide such services.”
Bet she wished she could abort that ….
