ILLEGALLY EXPORTED “SENSITIVE TECHNOLOGY” TO RUSSIA

66-YEAR-OLD ALLEGEDLY VIOLATED THE EXPORT CONTROL REFORM ACT

IK (66), a Brooklyn resident, was arrested in mid-January for allegedly exporting “sensitive technology” to businesses with ties to Russian military and intelligence agencies.

In a written statement, Assistant Attorney General Matthew G. Olsen of the Justice Department’s National Security Division noted that “Mr. [IK] stands accused of repeatedly exporting sensitive technology to Russia before, during, and after Russia launched its unprovoked invasion of Ukraine …. Violations of U.S. sanctions and export control laws that aid Russia and other hostile powers endanger our security and will be met with the full force of the Justice Department.”

If convicted, IK faces up to two decades in prison.

A complaint is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

Now how sensitive was that?
