SHE'S PROUD OF HER DAD

My dad, Tom Suozzi, has been involved in public service for most of my life. My brothers and I have grown up watching our dad fight to do the right thing and to stand up for all people.

Throughout my childhood, it was normal for our phone at home to ring at any time of the day or night because someone needed my dad’s help. Or for people to show up at our doorstep so my dad could help them figure out how to solve a problem.

Growing up with my dad on the news and in political ads all the time wasn't always easy. When I was younger, it was hard for me to hear my dad's opponents lie about who he was or how he did his job. I learned to understand that they were just a representation of the kind of politics my father always fought against.

I am so thankful to have a dad who truly cares about making the world a better place and who taught his values to my brothers and me. My mom and dad have worked together to teach us countless lessons about putting family first and respecting tradition. I have always known that as long as I tried to do the right thing and treated people with respect and kindness, my parents would be proud of me.

I am so proud that my dad is running for Congress because we need people like him to fight for all of us. I am also proud of this video that we got to be in together. I like it a lot and I hope you do too!

Sincerely,

Caroline Suozzi
