Gracie Mansion Conservancy Launches Ticket Giveaway for First Gracie Book Club Discussion on May 17th

NEW YORK—The Gracie Mansion Conservancy has launched the ticket giveaway for the first discussion of the new Gracie Book Club’s inaugural season, which will be held at Gracie Mansion on Tuesday, May 17. Entrance for the ticket giveaway is only available beginning Monday, May 2, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. until Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. All New York City residents 18 years of age or older are welcome to enter, and all tickets are free.

Author James Hannaham will moderate the discussion on the first Gracie Book Club selection Bright Lines, written by Tanwi Nandini Islam, with First Lady McCray, Islam and PIX11 anchor Sukanya Krishnan. The theme of this year’s Gracie Book Club discussions is “Envisioning Distant Neighbors,” which aims to open dialogue on New York City’s diverse and rich immigrant community.

This event will be streamed live on the First Lady’s YouTube channel for anyone who is interested in participating in the Gracie Book Club discussion but is not able to attend the event. Anyone can also get involved in the Gracie Book Club discussion on social media using the hashtag #GracieBookClub. More information is available at nyc.gov/graciebookclub.
