Friends,
Following the tragic event faced by our brothers and sisters in South Carolina, I am inviting all ecumenical leaders across our city to join me in a discussion about safety in our houses of worship. We, along with the New York City Police Department and partners in government, will create a plan of action to address this tragedy.The gatherings will take place Monday, 12:00-2:00 PM, at Calvary Baptist Church in Jamaica, Queens and Tuesday, 7:00-9:00 PM, at the Latino Pastoral Action Center in the Bronx.
