An extraordinarily large amount of antibiotics are administered to food-producing animals to encourage growth and prevent disease. With public awareness increasing, many question the practice and others defend it. A panel of experts will examine this issue and discuss the public health implications, legal framework, and proposed federal bill to limit its routine use.
